Major Pennant Report Round 6

A bittersweet end to what was a great season by our boys. Venturing out to Mac Links needing a win or draw to proceed through to the semis, we knew we’d have our work cut out for us!
Unfortunately, we couldn’t overcome a strong Mac Links opposition, going down 2-5. This leaves us 2nd on the table, with Macquarie going through to the Semi Finals. A special mention to our 2 winners on the day, Dax and Jake. Also to our unofficial reserve Robbie, who notched up a win as well, after opening with 3 birdies and an Eagle in his first 6 holes!!!
Jake Hallinan had a stand out season as our Captain and #1 player, remaining undefeated throughout. Congratulations Jake! A big thank you to our Manager Alan Dove for his tireless work planning, organising and motivating our team week to week. To our 9 players (including myself), it was a great effort this season and a shame to fall just short, but we’ll be back stronger again next year. I’m sure all would agree that it was truly a privilege to represent WGC at the highest level.
Finally, thanks to all our Members and caddies for their support and interest over the last 6 weeks. We truly appreciate it!
